We were blessed with such a wonderful weekend! Kirk’s dad was called to be stake president for the Paul Id stake. Kirk flew in Saturday evening from Florida where he had been interviewing, and we went straight from the airport home to Paul. We were then able to spend the next day, being taught by Elder Holland, he gave a wonderful message about Christmas. At the end of conference our family along with Dad’s counselors and their families gathered together to be set apart by Elder Holland and Elder Clark. He gave us another wonderful message about families and eternal life. The spirit was so strong all day it was a great experience to be in such and intimate setting with an Apostle of the Lord. I am so grateful for this gospel, I know that it is true, it changes lives. I know the Lord speaks through his prophet and apostles on this earth today; I was able to have such a witness of that this weekend. I am so blessed to be a part of this gospel and to have the knowledge of its truth, what a wonderful time we live in!

I figured it was about time to post Thanksgiving! I didn’t get very many pictures but it was a fun thanksgiving. We were suppose to be with Kirk’s family this year but he ended up having to work the day after so we weren’t able to go with them. We had a enjoyable time out at Kevin and Charisa’s though., lots of food and fun!

Lets eat!

Sliding down the stairs in sleeping bags, wasn't it fun being a kid....

Fun as an adult too:)

Girls Weekend

While the boys went hunting the girls got together and played! Mom, Aunt Mary Jo and Kim came down to Utah to join me and Kels. It was a non stop, fun filled weekend, here is just a taste of what we got to do.

First we went to Gardner Village were they had the bewitched festival going on, the whole place was decked out with witches it was really cute. This is just one picture we got.

We got to go to this great restaurant, Tepanyaki where they cooked the food right in front of us on a grill. Our chef was very entertaining, and the food was delicious! We even caught shrimp in our mouths, well some of us :( (not me…I missed )

We went to a wonderful dance theater performance called Thriller, it was all Halloween themed dances. They did an amazing job and are so talented it was so fun to see. Before you go into the theater there are scary zombie people walking around outside and they follow you and hiss at you, some how we became targets for them…so we got a picture.

And of course it wouldn't be a girls weekend without… SHOPPING!

I'd say our hunting went better than the boys!

Thank you again for the great memories ladies! It was so much fun, and we will definately have to do this hunting trip again!

Summer Fun

Michigan was so much fun! I got to spend a week helping out Deborah with her new little one Jared. They have such a cute family and I loved every minute I had with them. It was however very hard to leave these cute little boys, I am still missing them terribly. Thanks again for having me. I love you guys!

Over labor day weekend we made a fast trip home for my family reunion at priest lake. It was so much fun and I am so glad we were able to make it up there. We had a great time with family and out on the water.

Jam'n It Up

Two weekends ago Kirk and I went raspberry and blackberry picking at a small berry farm in Springville. They had the biggest blackberries I have ever seen and they all were so yummy! When we got home we made jam!

Kirk had to take over the mixing because the jam splattered on my hand and I pulled back and ended up throwing jam all over the wall. You can see a little in this picture by his arm.
Final product!

We thought we would finally post some of our great camping adventures this summer! Our most recent and longest trip was the Grandaddy basin where we packed in for 3 nights and 4 days. It was a 16 mile loop at 10,000 ft., with 15 different lakes it was amazing! We were only able to make it to six of the lakes but each one was beautiful. Our first day we hiked in 5 miles and camped at a small lake called Mohawk.

This is Grandaddy Lake the largest of all the lakes.

We didn't get pictures at our first camp but this was our sencond campsite, Pine Island Lake. Personaly it was my favorite spot of our trip, although we had some major thunderstorms here.

Kirk trying to keep the fire going during the storm

On day three we camped at Betsey Lake atop a little hill.

This is a short video of some thunder while we were waiting for the rain to stop. Being at these high altitudes we heard the loudest thunder we have ever heard.

Waiting out the rain:(

On our hike out we decided to stop and take a group picture. We had a blast on the trip and we ate really good. If you ever go backpacking try out Mountain House's freeze dried dinners, especially the beef stroganof, it was Falycia's favorite.

Our first trip we went up Y mountain and beyond, into a quiet little meadow. The hike was hard! We will say it kicked all our butts, but getting to the meadow at the end was worth it. We just stayed one night here.

The lovely meadow!

Sleepy heads:)

WooHooo!

After 1 year of classes and 2 ½ moths of intense studying Kirk took the DAT Friday! We were both so nervous! Somehow we were blessed though to be able to sleep the night before. I dropped him off just before 8am and came back around 12. I was pacing the parking lot waiting for him. When he finally came out, I ran to him and was like how did you do? He nodded twice and was like 21! 21! And I screamed! We were so excited! We got in the care and rolled up the windows and both just yelled in excitement! Man what a relief! We are just so thrilled!
Since we decided to pursue dental school Kirk has worked so hard in all of his classes and in studying for the DAT, I know it has been stressful and hard at times for him but he has always kept working hard and stayed positive. I am so grateful for him and all his dedication. Way to go babe! We are so excited for what the future brings and that this first little step in reaching our dream is done.

Here are his scores....

It was Kirk’s Birthday! The 21st of June, it fell on fathers day so we ended up going out to Kevin and Charisa’s house to celebrate. This years theme for the cake was a tooth! It was fun to make and even more fun to show Kirk, he liked it.

Watch out he's going to blow!
We made his special birthday dinner another night, we tired to go Red Lobster style with coconut shrimp and crab legs! umm it was good.

Yummy Snickers!!
I found a recipe online on how to make your own snickers bar! I was so excited so we just had to try it. We did it with Jason and Katie and it was quite a success I would say, it didn’t quite taste exactly like a snickers bar but it was close and really good.
Kirk pealing the peanuts, isn't he cute!

We did have one tiny little misshap..we tried to melt the chocolate over the stove and it didn’t turn out so well, as you can see. So the boys had to make a quick dash to the store. The second time we used the microwave, got to love the microwave!
The Final Product!

A couple weekends ago I got to go to Idaho Falls and visit little Evie and Krista it was a lot of fun to see them. Evie is growing to fast! I can’t believe she is 6 months already!

What a doll!

I took pictures of our garden so I could post them on our blog the first set is a little while after we planted. The second set is today when I am finally getting around to posting them!
Then..

Our Garden has been so much fun! We love having it!
