VIVA!

For those of you that don't know, Kirk and I just got back from the Dominican Republic!! It was sooo much fun!! We had the best time! It was such a great way to celebrate the end of Kirk's first year of Dental School and all the hard work that has gone along with it. Here are a few pictures I
thought I would share for those of you that haven't seen them.

Our view out our window was of the markets in the town. It was cool going through them they had really fun painting and lots of jewlery.

They offered archery as one of the activities.

One of the excursions we went on was crazy wheels, they take you out into the country through some of the villages and to the sugar cane fields. You go out one way on four wheelers and back in dune buggies. It was a blast and very muddy! We loved it! It was really neat to see a lot of the country and the towns also.

Just some fun shots the first one is by Kirk and believe it or not it was shot at night I think he had to hold the exposure for almost 2 min.

Ok yes I have the best husband, he got up way way early with me so that I could have some beach picture of us. Thanks honey!

On our way home...we aren't as happy as we look:) It was really hard to leave, but it was a great time!

Date Night

SER-EN-DIP-I-TY

-noun

an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident

I have been wanting to get Jimmer off my blog for a while, so I am going to post about our SERENDIPITY date! It was a lot of fun. For those of you who haven't seen the movie...well you should! It is really cute, and Kirk even really liked it. Our date was based around the movie, so we went to the same serendipity restaurant where the movie was filmed, it was such a neat little hole in the wall.

Their menues were huge...

Along with their desserts!

We were going to try and go ice skating at the same rink they go to in the movie, but that night it was freezing and we both weren't up for ice skating so we headed home and watched the movie!

So fun!

GATHER ROUND KIDS ITS JIMMER TIME!!!

PLAY THE FOLLOWING AUDIO CLIP! Goes with the above picture.
Listen!

I just have to take a minute and express my appreciation to Jimmer Fredette!! I am seriously enfatuated with the way he plays basketball, and man he has a jumper that is silky smooth. When I am having a tough day I like to think of Jimmer and the 39 points he scored on the poor Rebels of UNLV, or the most recent deluge of 47 points on the stumbling Utes of Utah. The kid has range, stamina, and is just a likable guy. Right before half against Utah he nails a three from 40 ft out as Greg Wrubell so beatifully called, and what does he do? He walks stoically off the court; no thumping of the chest, jumping up and down with arms flailing, not Jimmer. He has ice running through his veins and he is in the hunt for player of the year. I implore any and all readers of this blog, my dear friends and family to seriously find the BYU basketball schedule and watch any and all the games on TV. If you live within a bordering state, try and make the drive and witness this amazing player. I would seriously love to fly in from NYC to watch just one more home game in the Marriot Center. In tribute to Jimmer I leave you these wonderful images. Falycia just thinks I'm silly, but I love college basketball and I love the Cougs!! GO BYU!!!

THE BALL HAS DROPPED!!

This year we decided to brave the real NY New Years Eve! Which meant standing in a crowd of people for 10 hrs. No leaving, no drinks or backpacks because of security and no restrooms. We had a blast! I will admit the first 8 and half hrs. of standing were not the most exciting and at times I wasn't sure if Kirk was going to make it through, but he did and in the end we were both so glad we did it. We had a really good view of the ball, were close to the stage, and had great people around us. It just so happened that where we were standing was right by where all the cameras went by. The last hour and half we had fun getting on the cameras! For those of you that missed us, we were on CNN a few times and on the kissing cam on Fox. The most fun was hearing from our families that saw us!

We saw sexy Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin

To pass the time the jumbo screen would have this game like whak-a-mole that you could dial in on your phone and play so Kirk did that to pass the time and on his first try he got FIRST PLACE!!! Woohooo! The numbers in the first place spot are the last 4 digits of Kirks number!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
